Hotfix: Extend Schema Version Dates
Running the SQL script provided herein against any TariffShark database of version 7, 8, 9, 710, 720, 730, 810, 820, 830, 910, 920, 930, 940, or 941 will resolve an issue that can prevent the Filing Schema Version field from working correctly in some cases.
If you attempt to update the "Schema Version" field on the "FERC Details" tab of the "Update Filing" screen for a Filing with a "Filing Date" that falls after December 31, 2011 and this hotfix has not been applied, you will see the error shown below. Applying this database hotfix resolves the issue.
Resolution
- Download the script below and run the entire script against a valid TariffShark database.

Effective April 1, 2010, The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) revised its regulations to require that all tariffs and tariff revisions and rate change applications for the public utilities, natural gas pipelines, oil pipelines and power administrations be filed electronically according to a set of standards developed in conjunction with the North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB).
The Commission requires that all tariffs, tariff revisions and rate change applications be filed electronically in the manner prescribed by Order No. 714. The affected required filers are:
- Public utilities and Power Marketing Administrations under Parts 35 and 300;
- Natural gas pipelines under Parts 154 and 284;
- Intrastate gas pipelines under Part 284; and
- Oil pipelines under Part 341.
