Required Fields

When creating or updating tariff-related documents in TariffShark, some data is required and must be entered prior clicking any "positive" action buttons on the form, such as "Create" or "Update". In addition, some required data cannot be entered until data in other required field(s) is entered.

Green Arrows = Required Fields

• A Required Field is designated with a green arrow to the left of the Data Field's name.
• Note that in the example above, Filing Type is a Required Field but is "greyed-out". The Required Field above it, Date, must be entered before the Filing Type field becomes live.

Red Exclamation Points

• Any required data that is either missing or entered out of sequence will trigger a red exclamation point to the right of the data field. This warns you to either enter the data or follow the required sequence of data entry.

Hovering over the red exclamation point provides a reminder message.
