Citation Template

A Citation Template is a string of Symbols and other text that is used to generate a Citation containing Tariff Database and/or Tariff Record Versions identifying information. FERC requires that these Citations be included with correspondence such as transmittal letters or emails.

TariffShark ships with these default Citation Templates:

Citation Template Content Example Citation
Tariff Database [CompanyName], [CompanyProgramCitationDescription], [TariffDatabaseTitle] Public Access Utility Company, FERC FPA Electric Tariff, TariffShark Database
Tariff Record Version (Brief) [TRVDescription], [TRVTitle], [TRVVersion], [TRVOptionCode] Section 1, Table of Contents, 1.0.0, A
Tariff Record Version (Verbose) [CompanyName], [CompanyProgramCitationDescription], [TariffDatabaseTitle], [TRVDescription], [TRVTitle], [TRVVersion], [TRVOptionCode] Public Access Utility Company, FERC FPA Electric Tariff, TariffShark Database, Section 1, Table of Contents, 1.0.0, A

Once a Citation Template is created for a Tariff Database or a TRV, the corresponding Citation can be copied from TariffShark for pasting into correspondence with FERC via the SmartBar's Copy Citation commands:

Here is an example of the form that opens to copy a Citation for a TRV Set.
