In a multi-user environment, avoid situations where two users would be updating the same information (a particular Filing, the content of a specific Tariff Record Version, etc.) at the same time. This practice can lead to inconsistencies and undesirable results.
Multi-user support is built into TariffShark and does not require special configuration. TariffShark allows client software to be installed on multiple computers. The computers are connected to an Application Server, which in turn is connected to the central TariffShark database. Each client can simultaneously access and perform day-to-day tariff and administrative functions.
TariffShark works with a central database queue for the processing of TRV content and work in the queue is distributed automatically to connected clients.
